Are you looking for Online Counselling Therapy for Stress?
What is Stress?
Stress is generally a natural response to an external event such as a deadline for work or an argument with a friend or colleague. Typically, the issue will subside once the issue has been resolved. Whilst a certain amount of stress is actually good for us prolonged periods of stress (chronic stress) can be extremely unsettling and can have a significant impact on your overall mental and physical wellbeing.
Stress generally manifests itself by a series of intense feelings when the demands placed on us are more than our ability to cope with them. It is a physiological response to a perceived danger and prompts our fight, flight or freeze response in order to cope.
Stress can affect us in different ways however common symptoms of stress include things like:
Difficulty making decisions
Difficulty in concentrating
Dependency on drugs or alcohol
